This booklet was written specifically for college students, their friends and loved ones based on our "Coping with Sexual Assault" Adult English booklet. It was developed by a team of experts in the field and reviewed by a national advisory council including university staff, faculty and survivors. It includes extensive trauma-informed information about healing and recovering after a sexual assault including: medical care/options, reporting concerns, the criminal justice process, Title IX, the Clery Act, and other relevant resources. It is survivor-centered and culturally sensitive for any male, female or LGBTQ+ survivor of sexual assault at college, and for their loved ones.
Given the prevalence of sexual assault among college students and the low reporting rates, this resource should be widely available at all colleges and universities to ensure students have access to accurate information and campus resources.
